Shot-stopper
Alphonse Areola (West Ham): West Ham might have been six goals down at Bournemouth without him. Key display, delivered and displayed some quality. Superb shot-stopping to secure a 2-2 draw. A loss would have damaged their campaign.
Defensive unit
Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's up there for player of the season. People will talk about Arsenal players. He is the best performer by far.
Murillo (Nottingham Forest): One would need to be a wild optimist to say 'He scores and we defeat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You'd have got massive odds on that. He performed brilliantly. He is turning into a powerhouse. He can really be a handful. Pleased to watch him perform similar to before.
Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I saw him multiple matches last year in Italy for AC Milan and he was getting killled because he was making mistakes. Yet now he's been dominant. He's been really strong and imposing and seems polished. It seems he's found a perfect fit.
Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not typically a full-back, more of a contemporary style offensively. He is a excellent acquisition for Brighton. It's no shock at them discovering another star from obscurity? I thought releasing Pervis Estupinan it raised eyebrows but the club is aware what they're doing.
Central players
Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Similar players and they make it for the same reason. Their sides were victorious, all discuss those who netted, but without these two those teams don't click. They perform brilliantly. They break up play, they attack together.
Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The standout performer. A lot of followers, like my child, had doubts whether he was the man to lead them to success. Three strikes in the north London derby and now they want to make a statue of him. Goals, composure, he dominated. The top performer on the pitch.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Perhaps this represents thing that I agree with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it's going to be extremely tough to leave him out. I didn't think he began well to the season, I think he seemed somewhat presumptuous and thought he maybe have got a move to Chelsea, and likely desired it, but he seems to have found his footing. A brilliant brace clearly versus Leeds helped his club from a deficit. He made the impact.
Attackers
Callum Wilson (West Ham): I said he appeared not his normal self. He appeared as if his pace had gone. However, incredible. Words fail me. He was excellent. Outstanding in his movement and through his scoring.
Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A particularly intriguing player. He plays well, usually better as a substitute, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he has to play. He squandered a huge chance against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. However showing the inner resilience to place himself into tough scenarios and net two was remarkable.
Boss
Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and outperforms Arne Slot. A wonderful gameplan. It could have been five or six for Forest and nobody could have argued.
