Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

This young athlete boasts considerable online presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent backers as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, operates numerous golf courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she revealed.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He basically advised me to compete and relax," she continued.

"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

But she's able to receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.

"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.

"And he's an even better individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials stated that her participation brings the sport to wider groups, specifically among younger fans.

The social media influencer boasts a massive following and just introduced a personal fashion and living brand.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
