The goalkeeper's heroics occurred in the final 10 mins

LOSC Lille goalkeeper Berke Ozer dramatically denied 3 back-to-back spot-kicks in the final minutes of their Europa League victory over Roma.

The French side took the lead through Haraldsson's early strike after he took advantage of an defensive lapse to score.

However home side the Italian club were given the perfect opportunity to level the scores and secure a tie when they were given an late spot-kick after hand ball by Mandi.

Substitute Dovbyk took responsibility to take the penalty but his shot was stopped, only for official Erik Lambrechts to instruct a second attempt after the keeper was judged to have stepped off his line.

The substitute stepped up once more only to be thwarted once more by the away keeper, but this time the Turkey player was ruled to have stepped ahead too early.

The duty to execute the final kick was then handed to Soule, but he as well was stopped by Ozer and on this occasion the save stood to help confirm the French team's win.

AS Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini stated afterwards: "I've never seen three failed penalties in one game. It was an almost unique unusual occurrence, which finally influenced the result."
