K-Pop Demon Hunters Takes Over the Fortnite Universe with Demon Rush Mode and New Skins

Earlier this week, the game developer announced that a collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters would be making its debut in Fortnite on Oct. 2. Now, additional information about this team-up with the popular Netflix film have been shared.

Demon Rush Mode: Key Features

HUNTR/X's Rumi, Mira, and Zoey will confront hordes of demonic enemies in the limited-time Demon Rush mode, which is inspired by Fortnite's Horde Rush mode. Rumi's Empowered Sword and Zoey's Golden Bubble Shield will be essential for fending off these demons, and bonuses inspired by the film can be obtained between each survival round. This new mode will begin on Oct. 2 and run through Nov. 1, just in time for the Halloween period.

New Outfits and Items

Skins, gear, and dance moves from KPop Demon Hunters will arrive in the Fortnite Shop, and players can complete quests from the idols to earn exclusive rewards like Mira's special ramyeon. Similar to other figures in Fortnite, the K-pop idols have also been Lego-ized, with Lego versions of the three hunters available.

Creative Opportunities

Fortnite content creators will enjoy the latest update as they can use movie-themed elements, signature gameplay items, fearsome demon enemies, and HUNTR/X members. As stated in the announcement, creators can build melee-focused islands or remix their existing islands starting October 2.

What’s Next

The arrival of KPop Demon Hunters in Fortnite is unlikely to be the last news about HUNTR/X. A follow-up film is probable, and a prequel could also be in the works.
